“Theatre: A Love Story” by Caridad Svich

You do not want to miss this virtual promenade-style production created by 10 incredible teams of emerging directors, performers, and livestream producers.

THEATRE: A LOVE STORY, by Caridad Svich and presented by WTFringe Lab 21, is a must-see for theatre-makers and theatre-lovers. It celebrates what we love about theatre—the storytelling, the community, the creativity, the snacks (!). It also highlights what pains us—the capitalist structures, the current of privilege, the inequities in pay and representation, and the pattern of valuing titles and money over people and their work. And yes, the play is about theatre...but, as the characters tell us more than once, "And by theatre, I mean the world."

32 individual artists and makers have come together to create this digital promenade production of THEATRE: A LOVE STORY. Join us as we travel from link to link through digital space, remembering where we've been as theatre-makers (citizens. humans.) and looking ahead to the best versions of what we could become.

I am extremely excited to be apart of this production as a director! Virtual performances are Sat. Jul 17th @ 12pm ET, Sun. Jul 18th @ 7pm ET, and Fri. Jul 23rd @ 7pm ET.
